Job Summary (Purpose and Function):

Full -time faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This individual will provide clinical Neuro psychological services that may include mental health screenings and psychological assessments .

Accountabilities:

  • Administer tests for intelligence, memory, attention, language, and sensorimotor functions.

  • Evaluate disorders like dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke, brain tumors, and ADHD

  • Develop cognitive rehabilitation plans and, in some cases, provide psychotherapy.

  • Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports to guide medical treatment.

  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other medical staff. 

  • Provide supervision for post-doctoral psychology fellows

  • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings

  • Identify patients requiring psychiatric evaluation

    Minimum Qualifications (Essential Requirements):

  • Education: Psy.D. or Ph.D.; valid State of Florida Licensed Psychologist

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Completion of a f ellowship with specialized training in Neuropsychology.  

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for patient care and data interpretation.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
