Job Introduction:

Manages dealers' relationships to market company products and services and assists in the development of dealer sales capability.

Uptime (Technical) Representative—is a customer‑facing product support role focused on maximizing machine uptime, customer loyalty, and dealer technical capabilities.

What you will do:

• Resolving product issues quickly, improves equipment reliability, and supports dealers in providing high quality service. The role ensures customers experience minimal downtime and strengthens Caterpillar’s product reputation.

• Understanding of business model and acting within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.

• Lead and support the dealer’s Product Problem Management (PPM) process.

• Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving field product issues.

• Minimize commercial impact of customer complaints through quick, effective action (including appropriate use of goodwill).

• Presenting products or services for stakeholders, answering any customer questions, and addressing their needs.

What you will have:

Customer Focus : Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.

  • Intermediate English.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealer/customer interaction.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional internal teams and dealer personnel.

Top candidates will have:

  • More than 4 years of experience in product support, technical field work, or related engineering roles.

Additional Information:

  • Up to 50% travel may be required.

Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week ( except when traveling for business purposes).
