Join our dynamic team as a Procurement Representative, where you'll play a vital role in implementing and executing procurement plans and strategies. As the primary contact for our suppliers, you'll leverage your negotiation skills and tactical expertise to secure the best pricing and supply arrangements for our materials, services or goods. You'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, managing internal inquiries, complaints, and service level issues with finesse while monitoring market trends to provide valuable insights and competitive intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure assigned raw materials, goods, or services, utilizing negotiation skills and market knowledge to achieve optimal pricing and supply arrangements.
Efficiently process and document all Procure-to-Pay transactions, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
Analyze pricing bids, spot buys, and quotes to determine the best sourcing options for indirect materials and services.
Negotiate pricing and payment terms, maintaining strong vendor relationships and exercising independent judgment.
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities without compromising service levels.
Initiate vendor setup processes and resolve blocked invoice issues.
Uphold internal and external policies, regulations, and laws, ensuring compliance at all times.
Assist with contract development and management, becoming an expert in your assigned area.
Work closely with site operations, technology, and commercial teams to ensure on-time deliveries of raw materials meeting quality specifications.
Support sourcing managers in new supplier development activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or market/customer facing roles preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Understanding of contracts and commercial terms
Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and basic understanding of supply chain management
Expertise in SAP and/or SAP-Ariba data processing systems preferred
Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, and challenges
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate leadership
Strong negotiation skills and comfort with conflict
Prior experience with commodity market buying or trading would be beneficial
