Job Description:
The Payments Services Feature Lead role will be responsible to support the Bank of America payments solutions for Mexico. By providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to technical teams, this role will support the development and delivery of payments solution projects and initiatives. Key responsibilities of the role include overseeing the technical development of new business features and capabilities, regulatory mandates and changes, and risk remediation initiatives to ensure the correct operation of payments applications in Mexico. This role will be an individual contributor position providing technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and is accountable for application feature delivery.
Applies enterprise standards, architecture principles, and design, coding, and quality standards.
Drives new solution initiatives through, intake, acceptance criteria, design, development, implementation, testing, and release.
Ensure the correct functionality, capacity, and availability of payments services in Mexico including SPEI, SPID, ACH/TEF, and the respective clearing, conciliation, and reporting (financial and regulatory) for the correct operation of the payments solutions.
Provides technical L3 support for production activities/issues.
Works with multiple local and global teams including the Business, Product, Operations, Information Security, Vendors, and compliance functions on the delivery and support of payments applications and processes in Mexico.
Works with global technology teams including application, engineering, architecture, software development, and project teams, to drive initiatives for Mexico.
Working with 3rd party vendors to develop and maintain SPEI and SPID enhancements and support for SPEI 2.0.
Required skills:
Broad background in Mexico’s payments services and financial/banking industry including SPEI and SPID payments.
At least 8+ years of work experience within the Mexico banking and financial services industry supporting technology areas such as software development, application management, infrastructure, production support, or similar areas of technology.
Experienced in designing scalable robust enterprise applications with different architectures, design patterns, interface types and technologies, using code and security standards and best practices
Proficient in English (oral and written) with capacity to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization both orally and through writing.
Knowledgeable in Mexico’s payments regulatory requirements and manuals for SPEI and SPID from Banxico as well as CNBV regulation.
Software engineering, systems engineering, or similar University degree.
