Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse and production operations by efficiently handling products, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This role involves stacking, sorting, labeling, loading, and unloading boxes, as well as working closely with the production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and accurate order flow.
Responsibilities
Stack, sort, and label boxes accurately to support efficient storage and order fulfillment.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, following proper material handling procedures.
Organize products in the warehouse to maintain clear, accessible, and logical inventory locations.
Use RF scanners or other scanning equipment to pick, scan, and track products and orders.
Perform order picking and packing tasks, including packaging, filling, and warehouse packing activities.
Handle materials, inventory, and finished goods with care to minimize damage and loss.
Support production activities in a small consumer packaging environment as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety guidelines.
Follow instructions from the production lead and warehouse supervisor and complete other duties as assigned.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a warehouse and production environment.
Previous experience in a small consumer packaging environment.
Previous experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
General labor experience with a focus on physical, hands-on work.
Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks and handling materials safely.
Experience with packaging, packing, and filling products.
Ability to perform order picking, order packing, and inventory-related tasks.
Familiarity with RF scanners or similar scanning devices for picking and tracking inventory.
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
Ability to maintain an organized work area and follow safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with warehouse packing and small consumer product packaging.
Knowledge in material handling, including lifting, moving, and staging products.
Ability to use scanners and other basic warehouse technology.
Comfort working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing setting.
Strong attention to detail when labeling, sorting, and picking orders.

Work Environment

The work involves standing, walking, lifting, loading, unloading, picking, and packing throughout the shift, as well as using RF scanners and other basic warehouse equipment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety, with an expectation that team members maintain a neat work area and follow established safety and operational procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Metairie, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
