Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility and production equipment. This role performs routine and corrective maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fabrication-related components. The technician supports daily facility operations, executes preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoots equipment issues, and assists with the installation and optimization of automated production lines. A strong commitment to safety practices, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement is essential for success in this position

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and welding systems.

  • Conduct routine facility repairs involving plumbing, electrical work, fabrication, and general building maintenance.

  • Maintain and update preventive maintenance plans and execute scheduled PM tasks on all equipment and facility systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving integrated systems that combine electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

  • Support the deployment, installation, and optimization of automated production lines.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience in facility systems, mechanical maintenance, fabrication, electrical repair, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using systematic troubleshooting methods.

  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and automated system components.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Experience with continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Completed training in electromechanics (DEP or DEC).

  • Experience as an electromechanical technician.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

Work Environment

The role requires physical activity such as lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required. The facility provides an inclusive, diversity-friendly environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
