Nammo Defense Systems, Inc Document Control Specialist in Mesa, Arizona

Nammo Defense Systems, Inc., a defense contractor, is the primary USA operation of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS). Nammo Defense Systems Inc. (NDS) develops, manufactures, and supports Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLMs), energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aerospace structures.

JOB OVERVIEW:

With independent judgment and discretion, prepare electronic files for reproduction, file management and digital output using various software applications; support internal and external customer items related to the formatting and publishing of technical documentation; support change management system and be responsible for providing appropriate feedback to internal customers in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, edit documentation to standard requirements while ensuring adherence to schedule.

• Identifies and implements process and product improvements for technical documents in line with the strategic plan.

• Ensure customer and operator requests and issues are analyzed and satisfactorily responded to the originator.

• Coordinate and define publications with internal and external customers.

• Responsible for review, format and registration of NDS documentation.

• Trains and supports NDS personnel on documentation systems and software tools.

• Prepares, maintains, and implements procedures and instructions pertinent to configuration management.

• Interacts with Engineering, Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Marketing, Health, Environmental & Safety (HES) and Business Development regarding documentation.

• Interacts with Information Technology for hardware and software problems.

• Interacts with Contract Administrators and Compliance Specialists to support data exchange between 3rd parties.

• Complies with regulatory requirements for export of controlled data and limited rights: ITAR, EAR, DoD, BATF, FAR.

• Ensures security and limited access to proprietary, secret, and other protected documents.

• Ensures document legibility, sustainability, and accessibility to guarantee long term archival and retrieval (LOTAR).

• Other Duties as required.

• Follow standard practices and safety procedures.

• Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 5+ years proven success in role with similar scope of duties and responsibilities

• Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations

Preferred:

• College degree preferred

• Teamcenter Knowledge

• Configuration Management knowledge

• Knowledge of AS9100D requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Full-time On-site position

• This position may require travel on an as-needed basis.
