Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I
Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hrs/week

As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I, you’ll support world‑class infrastructure, work alongside experienced engineers, and learn the inner workings of high‑availability, enterprise‑scale facilities.
This is a great opportunity for early‑career engineers or military‑trained technicians looking to grow within data center operations, critical facilities, or infrastructure engineering.
What You’ll Do
Support daily operations of the data center, working with shift technicians, experienced technicians, vendors, and contractors.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including:
Switchgear, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs/CRACs, BMS/SCADA systems, and more.
Assist with emergency procedures, routine maintenance, and incident response to ensure continuous uptime.
Partner with IT, facilities, and operations teams to support project planning, capacity management, and efficiency improvements.
Contribute to the build‑out of new data center spaces and upgrades to existing systems.
Help maintain asset inventories and documentation.
Participate in vendor oversight, performance benchmarks, and metric reporting.
Support recruiting and onboarding initiatives as the team grows.
Provide excellent service to internal teams and meet all operational SLAs.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Trade/Military in a related field.
0–2 years of experience in data center operations, electrical/mechanical systems, or critical facility environments.
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
Strong organizational skills with a detail‑oriented, safety‑focused mindset.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, highly dynamic environment.
Basic understanding of network layout, low‑voltage cabling (copper/fiber), and equipment racks is a plus.
Preferred (Not Required)
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Hands‑on facility or operations engineering experience through internships, coursework, or military training.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools or building management systems.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
