Job Title: Data Center Technical Operations Engineer IJob Description
The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations within a data center, focusing on risk management, maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Responsibilities
Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring all work aligns with established practices and procedures.
Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.
Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and enhance plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities, as well as projects aimed at increasing current facility efficiency.
Manage asset and inventory.
Participate in recruiting efforts.
Deliver quality service and meet all customer demands.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree or Technical Military/Trade School Degree and relevant experience.
0-2 years of relevant work experience and management experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in complex fast-paced environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
0-2 years of Data Center Engineering or Management experience.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout, including low voltage copper/fiber cabling.
Work Environment
The position involves working 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Employees may work on projects eligible for conversion if they meet qualifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
