Job Title:TIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking experienced TIG Welders to support a fast-paced production line environment. This role involves TIG welding black carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, including flanges and elbows, with a strong focus on cycle time, takt time, and repeatable quality. Ideal candidates are comfortable working on a moving line and maintaining weld quality while meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on black carbon steel pipe up to 8 inches and 4-inch pipe assemblies.
Conduct welds of elbows and flanges connecting to compressors.
Complete welds through all three phases: Root pass, Fill pass, and Cover cap.
Properly prep material, including grinding, beveling, and cleaning for weld-ready condition.
Maintain consistent weld quality in a high-speed, production-focused environment while adhering to cycle time and takt time standards.
Follow safety, quality, and production procedures at all times.
Essential Skills
Proven TIG welding experience with black carbon steel, stainless steel, and dissimilar metals (carbon to stainless).
Strong understanding of pipe preparation, including grinding and fit-up for flanges and elbows.
Proficiency in root, fill, and cap welding techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.
Understanding of takt time and cycle time in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working on or alongside a production line.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Recent and extensive experience with steel welding is a must.
Ability to perform weld tests including black steel welds.

Work Environment
This position involves working on a moving production line with an emphasis on speed, efficiency, and repeatability. It is not a custom or job-shop welding role, and candidates must be comfortable with repetitive work and a line-driven workflow. The role is a 2nd shift position from Monday to Thursday, 5pm to 3:30am, with a 10% shift differential. Training is conducted on the first shift, and mandatory overtime is required on Fridays to meet production deadlines. The work requires lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed, and climbing portable ladders. Use of personal protection equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
