Job Description:
Schedule: Per Diem - Requirement of 4 shifts per month. Orientation of Mon-Friday for first 2 weeks on dayshift.
Location: Covering the Shawnee Mission Area
Provides spiritual support to patients, families, and staff in various care settings. Conducts comprehensive spiritual assessments to identify and address concerns. Offers brief spiritual counseling and community referrals as needed. Participates as a member of the healthcare team to evaluate spiritual needs. Fosters a sense of mission and enhances a culture of love, joy, and peace within the healthcare environment. Responds to calls for pastoral care with flexibility and availability, including short notice. Communicates clearly and directly with staff, patients, families, and team members. Maintains punctual work habits, including timely arrival, departure, and breaks. Demonstrates integrity and responsible pastoral ethics in reporting time and interactions. Attends and participates in mandatory training and meetings. Applies knowledge of fire, safety, security, and disaster procedures. Provides additional pastoral support during or after emergencies. Ensures availability for ongoing care during emergencies. Contributes to department goals and fosters staff cohesiveness and communication. Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]
• Master's completion of a master of divinity, master of science in spiritual care or graduate level degree (72-hour minimum) in theology, religion or related field. [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• in religious or theological area of pastoral study, or related field
Work Experience:
• Congregational Pastoral leadership [Preferred]
• In good standing with a recognized faith community [Required]
Additional Information:
• Successfully completed one unit of ACPE, Inc. accredited CPE [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) [Preferred]
• Ordained Minister (ORDM) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$26.63 - $49.52
