Meridian Public School District Maintenance Specialist - Plumber in Meridian, Mississippi
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess Journeyman Plumber License. 2. Minimum of five (5) years experience in maintenance, water distribution and drainage systems. 3. Working knowledge of commercial anti-backflow systems with certification for annual maintenance. 4. Computer literate. 5. Ability to occasionally be on-call after hours. 6. Good physical condition; i.e. able to stand lift and stoop for long periods of time and work in unfavorable weather conditions such as heat and cold. 7. Must possess Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License with ability to be insured.
REPORTS TO: Director of Central Operations and Maintenance
JOB GOAL: To ensure that all facilities meet the highest standards of plumbing service for healthy, safe, and efficient use throughout the district.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to: 1. Completes daily work orders efficiently and effectively. 2. Performs preventive maintenance measures to eliminate future major repairs. 3. Exercises proper safety precautions during the performance of assignments. 4. Performs assignments after hours; on-call basis. 5. Accounts for economical, effective, and proper use of all departmental tools and materials. 6. Maintains proper time documentation for tasks performed. 7. Properly documents repairs. 8. Assists in the preparation of orders and checks the quantity and quality of all parts and materials received, and promptly reports any errors or deviations. 9. Performs other tasks, assigned by the Director of Central Operations and Maintenance; as designated by the Superintendent. 10. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. 11. Supports the Meridian Public School District Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As determined by the Board of Trustees. This is an "at-will" position reporting 235 days per year.
EVALUATION: Annually.
