Production Assembler – Cable & Harness Assembly

Job Overview

We are looking for a Production Assembler to join our growing cable and harness assembly team . This position is ideal for individuals seeking long‑term career growth within our Interconnect department. You will assemble cable, wire, and electromechanical components with a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as an active and collaborative team member

  • Perform hand soldering of wires to electrical connectors and PCBs

  • Assemble electromechanical components and cable/harness assemblies

  • Review, complete, and maintain accurate production documentation

  • Update job progress in ABAS Systems

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong visual acuity, including color and depth perception

  • Ability to measure small components in fractions of an inch

  • Manual dexterity for handling small tools and soldering equipment

  • Ability to read and follow moderately complex assembly instructions

  • Strong comprehension of written and verbal directions

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment

  • Advanced soldering and rework/repair skills

  • Proficiency with solder extraction tools

  • Basic computer skills and accurate data entry

  • Solid math skills, including counting and measuring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various soldering techniques (solder cups, J‑Hook, through‑hole)

  • Proficiency in multiple OJT (on‑the‑job training) processes across at least two production areas

  • Completion of OJT crimp training

  • Completion of ESD and solder training (as required)

  • High School Diploma or GED

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Clean electronics manufacturing facility with individual workstations

  • Required use of smocks and ESD shoe straps

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • Moderate noise level

  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
