Day 1 Academies Senior Full-Stack Engineer in Mercer Island, Washington
Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Day 1 Academies d/b/a Bezos Academy, Mercer Island, WA (eligible for telecommuting from any U.S. home office): Responsible for creating inspiring and groundbreaking educational technology for kids and teachers.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Develop full-stack applications and services for web and mobile clients utilizing modern technologies.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to craft outstanding applications that cater to front-end, back-end web, and mobile applications, which aim to cultivate the playful curiosity of young children and their teachers.
- Harness experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) back-end and front-end services (including Flutter, Node.js, and Typescript) to support secure and scalable full-stack application development.
- Support front-end and back-end services for users of web and mobile applications.
- Contribute to best software engineering practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
- Work closely with engineering team, educators, product managers, and data engineers throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from analyzing product requirements to creating system and software designs.
- Practice good documentation habits inside and outside of code.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *
Education: A bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience: Three years of experience in a software developer-related occupation.
SKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience must include each of the following:
- Three years of experience working with full-stack application development.
- Three years of experience utilizing best software engineering practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
- Three years of experience developing scalable applications and services for web or mobile clients.
- Three years of experience working with REST APIs.
- Three years of experience working with DevOps and CI/CD.
- Three years of experience working with AWS, JavaScript, MySQL, Node.js, Typescript and Github.
- Two years of experience working with C#.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
Basic pay is one hundred forty-nine thousand two hundred forty dollars to two hundred eighteen thousand dollars annually for full-time employment. This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law.
