Position Summary As a Senior Tool Room Technician your responsibilities will be tosupport Tool Room functions to meet production demands while maintaining safety, quality, and documentation requirements. Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm What you will do as a Tool Room Technician Read and comprehend instructions, prints and drawings Assembles dies, fixtures, and punches Run machines such as surface grinders, manual vertical mills, and engine lathes Maintain proper conduct to promote and provide a safe working environment. Take measurements with micrometers, calipers, and venires Aid Maintenance Dept. with PM's as required Aid Molding Dept. with PM's and Mold Tooling as required Help with design of molds and fixtures Troubleshoots and problem solves applicable equipment and fixtures Other duties as required by management The Experience, Skills and Abilities Required: High school graduate/GED 2 Years in a vocational school a plus Minimum 5 years hands on machining experience Other: CNC experience recommended but not required Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and safety rules. Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English. Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instruction. Know decimal equivalent of fractions and able to use a calculator Mechanical aptitude and competence with hand tools are required as well as a basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics.
