Position Summary Propose, oversee and improve the processes necessary to produce products ensuring safety first per all appropriate specifications at a rate considerate of company and customer targets. Lead problem solving efforts or continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and increase overall equipment effectiveness. Identify, propose, justify and manage the implementation of capital improvement projects or other improvement efforts. Participate and/or lead problem solving teams and initiatives to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics. What You'll do as a Process Engineer Identify, justify, propose and oversee the implementation of manufacturing equipment, technologies or processes to support defined targets for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Propose, support and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery or cost. Support the creation and completion of Engineering Change Requests and manage implementation tasks utilizing formal processes. Lead the development of or assist with the creation of detailed work instructions that outline the step by step production techniques and standard work for manufacturing processes and training of operators. Support introduction of new products and processes to production. Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope or several projects of smaller in size or scope. 7. Lead process validation efforts to introduce and maintain capital equipment and processes, including VMP/pFMEA, IQOQPQ etc. 8. Provide daily engineering support for assigned production lines with actions that drive key metrics. 9. Lead teams in countermeasure efforts to eliminate issues in fabrication and assembly from CAPAs, NCs utilizing formal problem-solving tools. 10. Lead engineering effort for capital equipment and other machines used in fabrication to ensure efficiency, quality and minimized down time. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required Required: A bachelor's degree in engineering. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. 2+ years of experience supporting capital equipment used in fast-paced production Preferred: 3 years of experience with fabrication (welding, grinding, CNC machining, laser cut and press brake), mechanical and electronic assembly. Experience with sheet metal Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing facility. Experience with robotics and automation Able to develop troubleshooting and reporting standards for equipment Demonstrated expertise with LEAN process improvement tools and methods. Proven proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting skills using formal processes.. Working knowledge of CAD, CREO, SolidWorks or other computer aided drawing tools. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Excellent project management skills and experience in handling multiple projects. Able to adapt to changing priorities. Sense of urgency in resolving conflicts and implementing changes. #LI-BN1 Pay range for this opportunity is$78,200.00- $96,600.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.
