Position Summary The Assembler is responsible for maintainingproduction of Surgical Table products to meet customer requirements. Duties Ability to assemble based onknowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area. Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment and trouble shoot. Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work. Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating). Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits. Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system. Duties - cont'd Education Degree Required Experience Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, and Shop Floor Control Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory. Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment and related troubleshooting. Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral. Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements. Proven teamwork experience. Abilityto work overtime, if required. Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory. Preferred Experience PriorAS400 experience preferred Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies desired. Skills The Starting pay rate for this opportunity is $20.24. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
