Location: Mentor, Ohio
Shift: 1st (5:30am - 2:30pm) (Can be flexible and do 8am-4:30pm as well)
Pay: $25-30/hr
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a 1st shift position. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on chemical production equipment. Flexibility in shift timing is available, with hours from either 5:30am to 2:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical repairs on equipment such as conveyors, welders, CNC machines, and motors.
Inspect equipment, make necessary adjustments, and document test readings and repairs.
Manage routine and preventative maintenance to minimize production disruptions and downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis on machinery and address issues.
Maintain logs and manuals for preventative maintenance and inspections.
Align, fit, repair, and assemble mechanical components using tools and drawings.
Ensure proper operation of equipment in the Machine Shop and Plant.
Investigate equipment failures and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
Minimize production equipment downtime and ensure proper installation of new equipment.
Adhere strictly to lockout/tagout procedures and maintain work and shop areas.
Essential Skills
3+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
Experience with mechanical maintenance, preventive maintenance, and conveyor maintenance.
Proficiency in mechanical alignments, fittings, and assembly work.
Experience with pneumatic systems and reactive maintenance.
Ability to perform tasks in a clean but sometimes dirty environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical repairs.
Experience with fabrication/welding and reading blueprints/schematics.
CMMS experience and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
