Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support the design, development, and testing of electrical power systems used in naval applications. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer with solid technical fundamentals who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment.
What You Will Do
Design, analyze, and modify electrical power and control systems for naval applications
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards
Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and failure analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, manufacturing, quality, and program management
Support production, fielding, and sustainment efforts as needed
Ensure compliance with applicable standards (MIL-STD, IEEE, UL, NEC, etc.)
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and designs
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with experience with power systems, power electronics, control systems, or electrical distribution
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical drawings
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Experience in naval, defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with military standards and specifications
Experience with test equipment and system-level testing
Working knowledge of CAD tools
Prior experience supporting manufacturing or fielded systems
U.S. Citizenship required. This position may require an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
