FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: day shift Holidays: none Weekends: none Job Summary: The Director of Pharmacy Operations leads and directs the provision of patient care services and provides operational oversight for acute care pharmacy services within Froedtert ThedaCare. The Director is responsible for providing operational leadership and the execution of pharmacy strategy across the health system. Additional responsibilities include: maintaining adequate medication supplies, compliance with regulations of licensing authorities and regulatory agencies, and managing the human resource needs of the respective functional areas. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Greater than five years of progressive managerial experience in pharmacy services. Advanced residency training (PGY1/2 HSPA) or equivalent experience is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy is required. Completion of an ASHP Accredited Hospital Residency Program and/or advanced management degree (MBA, MHA, or MS) is strongly preferred. Completion of an administrative specialty residency is desirable. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, clinical practices, techniques and materials of pharmacy. Broad knowledge of modern health care administration, practices and principles within an academic medical center. Knowledge of and ability to apply research principles, methodology and practices utilized in a pharmacy environment. Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and administration as applied to the management and direction of personnel within all areas of accountability. Record of initiating change and innovation. Effective managerial and administrative abilities as applied to the management of multiple programs within Pharmacy services. Effective leadership abilities. Effective human relations abilities. Effective communication skills both in written and verbal presentation. Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues. Ability to effect collaborative allian ces and promote teamwork. Ability to insure a high level of employee, patient, visitor, and external stakeholder satisfaction. Ability to work harmoniously with all levels within the institution. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Current Pharmacist licensure by the Wisconsin State Board of Pharmacy.
