Job Duties
Sr. Landscape Crew Supervisor (multiple openings) at Mariani Enterprises: Supervise landscape construction crews including subcontractor employees on residential and commercial landscaping projects (more than 50% of time). Calculate materials and labor for landscaping projects. Oversee and participate in the construction, planting, and installation of the following: All manner of plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals for residential and commercial properties based on scaled construction drawings; landscape materials such as plastic edging, paver bricks and natural stone to create driveways, patios, sidewalks, and boulder retaining walls using chop saws, chain saws, edging machines, tampers, and skid steer loaders; drainage and grading projects; irrigation systems; water features including ponds, fountains, and bubblers; low voltage lighting systems; and outdoor kitchens & fireplaces. Oversee snow removal work; operate snow removal equipment and perform shoveling duties as required; attend ongoing training for “best practices” and updated safety requirements for summer season; review profitability of work performed during summer months to improve standard operating procedures; perform maintenance and basic repairs on fleet vehicles, skid steers, excavation machines, and other landscape equipment. Position is based out of company HQ in Mendota Heights, MN but also requires frequent (more than 50% of the time) travel to and work from unanticipated worksites in Minnesota including the following counties: Dakota, Ramsey, Anoka, Hennepin, Scott, Carver and Washington. There are multiple openings for this role.
The Sr. Landscape Crew Supervisor provides maintenance and basic repairs on fleet vehicles as follows: make sure the vehicles are filled with gas fuel, report any vehicle malfunctions to Mechanics on staff, making sure windshield wipers are properly functioning and have windshield fluids, and ensure that the vehicles comply with DOT checks/requirements for commercial vehicles. When the vehicle does not comply, the Sr. Landscape Crew Supervisor reports vehicle problems to Mechanics on staff for repairs. The Sr. Landscape Crew Supervisor does not make any other repairs. The Sr. Landscape Crew Supervisor drives and operates company gas pickup trucks (company fleet includes Ford F-150 pickup trucks through Ford F-550 pickup trucks) as part of the occupational duties.

Minimum Experience Required
Two years of experience as a landscape worker or related occupation in landscape construction
*Specific skills and other requirements:
Must possess two years of experience in the following:
• Planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals for residential and commercial properties based on scaled construction drawings
• Installing landscape materials such as plastic edging, paver bricks and natural stone to create driveways, patios, sidewalks, and boulder retaining walls using chop saws, chain saws, edging machines, tampers, and skid steer loaders
• Maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, skid steers, excavation machines, and other landscape equipment
• Calculating materials and labor for landscape projects
• Working with subcontractors on residential and commercial landscaping projects
Must also:
• Be able to lift 50 pounds; and
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a Minnesota commercial driver’s license
