(FTI) is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Menasha, WI. This Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and/or specifying mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies that will be used within products that are used within the renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center markets. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support the Design Engineering team in the design and qualification of mechanical components, sub-systems, multi-level assemblies, and system architecture of various products that are used within the energy industry. This position will also work with other disciplines within the organization to understand customer and market requirements, design products to be easy to both manufacture and assemble, support products as they go through the Product Development Process, and support service and aftermarket needs. This position will work within the Design Engineering team and need to coordinate their work with other individuals to meet project requirements, timelines, and goals. The ability to understand high-level requirements and create detail-level requirements and designs will be key to meeting project objectives. This position will require an understanding of drawing standards, Change Notice practices, and the ability to create Bills of Materials based on their design output. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience, 8 years of product design experience preferred * Working knowledge in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo) * Design experience with structural enclosures, mechanical assemblies, HVAC systems, mechanical piping, firefighting systems, and power generation * Problem solving skills, root cause analysis, and corrective action experience * Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes * Design experience in electrical components or equipment within the energy industry preferred * Design experience with programming languages and controls software preferred * Manufacturing and field support experience preferred * Proven ability to lead designers and other engineers preferred Travel: 10-25% WORK SCHEDULE This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.
