(FTI) is searching for a Senior Battery Systems Engineer to join our R&D organization and drive innovation in stationary energy storage solutions for our Product Engineering team located in either Phoenix, AZ or Menasha, WI. This role will focus on the design, development, and validation of advanced battery systems for UPS, C&I, and BESS applications. You will lead system-level testing, create validation plans, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure performance, reliability, and safety of integrated battery systems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor\'s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline. * 5+ years of experience in battery system design, architecture, testing, or integration for stationary applications (UPS, BESS, C&I). * Strong knowledge of lithium-ion chemistries, battery architectures, and failure modes. * Hands-on experience with battery testing and validation protocols. * Familiarity with compliance standards and safety regulations for stationary battery systems. * Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement. * Strong communication skills to provide clear recommendations and guidelines to stakeholders, technical development teams, and testing teams PREFFERED REQUIREMENTS * Master\'s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. * Experience with DFMEA, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering. * Knowledge of aging analysis, end-of-life behavior, and thermal management strategies. * Experience with performance modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, Simscape) and FEA/CFD for thermal and structural analysis. Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
