(FTI) is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to support the Product Engineering Team located in Menasha, WI. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and/or specifying mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies that will be used within products that are used within the renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center markets. The Mechanical Engineer will support the Design Engineering team in the design and qualification of mechanical components, sub-systems, multi-level assemblies, and system architecture of various products that are used within the energy industry . This position will also work with other disciplines within the organization to understand customer and market requirements, design products to be easy to both manufactur e and assembl e , support products as they go through the Product Development Process, and support service and aftermarket needs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field * Internship or 6 months of work experience. * Working knowledge in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo) * Design experience with structural enclosures, mechanical assemblies, HVAC systems, mechanical piping, firefighting systems, and/or power generation * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics * Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes * Experience in mechanical components or equipment within the energy industry * Ability to work independently * Experience in the design and development of electrical components * PLC programming experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 2 years of product design experience preferred Travel: 10-25% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. Work Location: Onsite in Menasha, WI. There is some work flexibility to work from home occasionally if needed.
