Aerotek Quality Inspector in MEMPHIS, Tennessee

Aerotek is hiring a Quality Inspector

2nd shift Monday - Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am OT would be on Friday

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.

  • Read and interpret complicated blueprints and specifications to ensure product quality.

  • Utilize a microscope with 5x optical zoom to inspect small parts.

  • Work hands-on with a wide variety of parts, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.

  • Collaborate with a team and demonstrate openness to learning and adapting to new processes.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in both English and Metric systems.

  • Extensive knowledge of standard measuring and testing devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, radius gauges, optical comparators, and depth micrometers.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including understanding dimensions and tolerances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical schooling preferred.

  • Certified Inspector certification preferred.

  • Experience with video comparator or vision systems is a bonus.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, FDA-compliant medical device shop that is extremely clean and spacious. The production floor ensures ample space between workstations, fostering a comfortable and efficient work environment. Our low-volume, high-variety environment supports over 20 clients, each with 20-50 different pieces being manufactured, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
