Description
We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our client's team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management. The successful candidate will oversee key financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and analyze manufacturing cost accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting.
• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and precise financial statements.
• Monitor and maintain standard cost accounting practices across operations.
• Utilize Dynamics 365 to streamline financial workflows and maintain data accuracy.
• Conduct annual physical inventory audits to verify stock levels and reconcile discrepancies.
• Collaborate with production teams to analyze manufacturing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting practices.
• Develop financial reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to support decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory valuation and reporting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Expertise in standard cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Dynamics 365 for financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to conduct and manage annual physical inventory audits.
• Skilled in creating financial reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
