Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will be building large cooling units. This position requires comfort and proficiency with hand and power tools. You will be involved in metal framing, copper tubing, drilling holes, and piping. The role includes reading and writing skills to follow directions from leads or diagrams, with hands-on training provided. You will use manual lifting devices and engage in heavy lifting through team efforts. The job also involves performing basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations and labeling, manually assembling inserted components per visual aids, and inspecting parts to ensure correct assembly.
Responsibilities
Build large cooling units using hand and power tools.
Engage in metal framing, copper tubing, drilling holes, and piping.
Read and follow directions from leads or diagrams.
Participate in hands-on training sessions.
Utilize manual lifting devices and perform team lifts.
Conduct basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations.
Manually assemble inserted components per visual aids.
Inspect parts to ensure assembly accuracy.
Essential Skills
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Comfort with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret graphs and diagrams.
1+ year experience in detailed mechanical assembly.
Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow directions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical knowledge is a plus.
Experience with blueprint reading is beneficial.
Troubleshooting, tubing, repair, and schematic skills are advantageous.

Work Environment
Work at an extremely clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing site with the potential to grow into a 3 million sqft campus. Steel toe shoes are required for safety. The shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 5 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates should be comfortable with moving to the Byhalia facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
