Job Title: Laser Operator Job Description
As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser equipment, inspecting parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers, and reading blueprints and schematics. You will handle tolerances as precise as .0 and occasionally negative values. Your role will involve changing out broken tooling, adjusting offsets, performing preventative maintenance, and operating three machines concurrently.
Responsibilities
Operate laser equipment efficiently.
Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Handle precise tolerances, including negative values.
Change out broken tooling and adjust offsets.
Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
Run three machines simultaneously.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Comfortable with blueprint and schematic reading.
Experience with CNC, machining, and quality control.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-3 years operating a machine in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the medical device field is a bonus.
Familiarity with microscopes is advantageous.
Open to candidates with experience in OEMs.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled, extremely clean medical device facility, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The shift is Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
