Robert Half Guest Services Representative in Memphis, Tennessee
Description We are looking for a success-driven Guest Services Representative to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This contract-to-permanent role involves providing outstanding customer service while enhancing visitor experiences within a museum setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about history, skilled at engaging with guests, and dedicated to maintaining smooth operations across various museum stations.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors at the entrance and Box Office, ensuring a friendly and detail-oriented first impression.
• Deliver engaging explanations of both permanent and rotating exhibits, sharing knowledge about the museum and the Civil Rights era.
• Monitor and direct the flow of guests through hallways, answering questions and providing guidance.
• Manage visitor interactions in the theater by delivering brief announcements before and after video presentations.
• Stand at designated stations throughout the museum to greet and assist guests, ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately.
• Support organizational goals by achieving service and sales objectives.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment within exhibit halls and visitor areas.
• Provide assistance to guests with special needs or requests, ensuring a positive experience for all.
• Collaborate with team members to address visitor concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Uphold the museum's values and standards in all interactions with guests. Requirements
8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Off days are Tuesdays + another weekday, so weekend availability is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and assist visitors effectively.
• Familiarity with retail sales or inventory management is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Weekend availability is required, with one additional day off during the week.
• Demonstrated passion for history and cultural education.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
