Robert Half Cash Application Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring accurate cash posting and payment handling. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a knack for precision.
Responsibilities:
• Process and apply incoming payments to the appropriate accounts accurately and efficiently.
• Manage accounts receivable operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
• Reconcile cash postings and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and improve cash application workflows.
• Monitor and maintain records of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and accounting regulations in all cash application activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service when addressing external and internal inquiries related to payments.
• Generate detailed reports on cash application and accounts receivable status.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the cash application function.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in cash applications and accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of cash posting and payment handling procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and accounting regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
