Aerotek Cell Operator - Suspect in Melrose Park, Illinois

Job Summary

The Cell Operator supports the daily operation of automated and robotic systems in a distribution center. This role focuses on monitoring equipment, keeping systems running, fixing basic issues, and performing hands‑on work inside the automation structure when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and monitor automated systems using touchscreen HMIs

  • Perform daily safety and equipment checks before production starts

  • Keep product flowing through conveyor and robotic systems

  • Identify and help correct system stoppages or product issues

  • Work inside the automated structure during shutdowns to retrieve or reposition products

  • Clean sensors, tracks, and system components

  • Assist technicians with equipment issues and breakdowns

  • Follow all safety rules and keep work areas clean

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing or machine‑operator experience

  • Comfortable using computers and touchscreens

  • Basic problem‑solving and mechanical aptitude

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Comfortable working around robots, conveyors, and automation

  • Able to perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting

Preferred Experience

  • High school diploma or trade school training

  • Experience with automation, robotics, or conveyor systems

  • Basic maintenance or mechanical experience

  • Team‑oriented with good communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
