Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analysis Intern with an interest in aerospace and aviation systems to support analytical projects related to engineering, operations, and supply-chain data. This internship is designed for a senior-year student looking to apply academic knowledge to real-world aerospace datasets and gain exposure to industry practices.
The intern will work closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to analyze structured data, identify trends, and support decision-making using data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets related to aerospace components, maintenance records, marketplace data, or supply-chain metrics
Clean, normalize, and validate data from multiple sources (Excel, CSV, databases, ERP systems)
Create dashboards, charts, and summary reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Assist with trend analysis, cost analysis, and performance metrics
Support engineering or PMA-related projects through data extraction and documentation
Develop and maintain spreadsheets, scripts, or queries to automate recurring analyses
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate business or technical questions into data solutions
Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings clearly and concisely
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Senior-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Systems), Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Or a closely related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
Experience with at least one of the following:
Python
SQL
Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
Ability to work with structured technical data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in aviation/aerospace industry careers
U.S. work authorization
