Overview

The transformation you will experience:

We are hiring for a SEO Director to work across our client accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Performance in delivering effective and holistic SEO campaigns that exceed client objectives. They’ll go beyond client briefs & push the boundaries of the SEO offering, managing from a senior level our SEO work and continuously developing their own expertise and digital knowledge.

As the SEO Director, you will assess how digital experiences can impact both acquisition and conversion, as well as being driven by a continual test and learn approach to your work. You will assess the value of conducting efficient and scalable SEO programme and spearhead our processes and solutions to effectively meet the needs of a growing department.

You will work closely with the Head of Performance in developing the SEO offering and ensuring that all work coming out of the SEO team is of the highest quality. As well as this, you’ll be accountable for educating and developing our relationship with key client stakeholders, flagging risks and opportunities with a clear comprehension of our commercial performance and initiatives. You will also be one of the key senior figures in the team and assist the SEO Managers’ progression and continued work satisfaction. There is a tremendous opportunity for growth in this role. As one of the SEO team’s founding members, you’ll have a major impact on our direction and strategy, as well as being exposed to business operations and informed-choices which will advance your knowledge and capabilities fast.

Your scope will include:

· Owning our relationships with key clients and accountable for flagging risks and opportunities for the business. Knowledge of clients’ motivations and ways of working and being flexible enough to adapt to them.

· Ensuring each client accounts operates with a clear and aligned strategy, which meets our scope of work obligations and moves brands towards their goals. Able to identify and flag performance and strategic objections.

· Knowledge of the status and health of our commercial agreements across clients. Prepared for renewals & able to identify revenue opportunities. Able to scope in a profitable way for our business, conscious of balancing our resource and financial circumstance.

· Driving the integration between the SEO team and other channel teams, to enable better results & improve client perception of Zenith’s work.

· Ensuring high quality SEO work across the pillars of our offering, including Content Marketing, On-site SEO, Off-site SEO, Data & Insights and other standalone offerings

· Assisting with the growth of the Zenith SEO proposition and assisting individual team members to progress. Ensuring your team are happy, motivated and satisfied.

· Demonstrating a clear knowledge of the various tenets of SEO and how these can be applied to client objections. Comfortable using data to inform our campaigns and how we communicate with clients.

What type of person will be successful in this role:

· Established senior experience in an SEO role, ideally agency-side.

· Strong grasp of Microsoft Office programmes, especially PPT and Excel.

· Experience of working within a fast-paced agency environment with high-value clients.

· Assured, comfortable, and professional when communicating with clients and third parties.

· A solid knowledge of how to measure impact of SEO-based strategies through analytics platforms and other external metrics.

· Strong knowledge of how to identify organic search opportunity, set business relevant KPIs & project organic search performance.

· Aptitude to establish clear internal briefing and manage projects; distribute workload appropriately, layout work in well-planned and organised manner; maintain two[1]way dialogue with others on work and results; bring out the best in people.

· An excellent communicator.

· A sound knowledge of how websites and search engines work.

· Aptitude to demonstrate a solid comprehension of how web languages like HTML work.
