Mars Marketing Portfolio Director – Bitesize (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) in Melbourne, Australia

About the role:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, this leadership role will champion Mars Snacking’s Bitesize portfolio (M&M’S, Maltesers and Pods), partnering with the broader business to drive excellence in identifying, developing and executing growth programs that deliver on our strategic priorities.

The responsibility of the role also extends to maintaining and fostering key regional and global relationships to ensure alignment to local requirements and seamless implementation of forthcoming Integrated Brand Experiences, Innovation, and Brand Content.

This role is a critical member of the Marketing Leadership Team, working hand-in-hand with cross-functional partners locally and globally to deliver breakthrough growth programs, innovation, and integrated brand experiences that delight our consumers.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leadership & People : Lead and mentor a team of marketers creating a high-performance and engaged culture.

  • Portfolio Ownership : Own the end-to-end growth plan and P&L for the Bitesize portfolio; build a 5-year strategy across innovation, comms, and activation.

  • Brand & Performance : Deliver brand results using insights, analytics, and best-in-class marketing practices while building long-term brand equity.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with local, regional, and global stakeholders plus external agencies to align and deliver against ambitious growth plans.

  • Cross-Functional Impact Lead project teams across Sales, R&D, Supply, and Commercial to deliver innovation and portfolio initiatives on time and in full.

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop talent while driving results.

  • Significant marketing experience (experience in other Demand functions is desirable too)

  • A proven track record in portfolio ownership and P&L management.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • A passion for brands, people, and delivering results.
