Your role and responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator specializing in UNIX Operating Systems AIX, you will utilize thorough applied technical knowledge of AIX Operating Systems' fundamental concepts and technologies to manage hardware and software components. Your expertise will enable you to perform various tasks that ensure seamless system operation. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Install and Implement AIX Systems: Perform installation, implementation, and customization of AIX Operating Systems, ensuring that all hardware and software components are properly configured and functioning as intended. • Operate and Recover AIX Systems: Manage the day-to-day operation of AIX systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform recovery procedures to minimize downtime and maintain optimal system performance. • Tune AIX System Performance: Analyze system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement adjustments to optimize AIX system performance, ensuring efficient use of resources and high availability.
Required technical and professional expertise
• AIX Operating Systems Knowledge: Experience with AIX Operating Systems' fundamental concepts and technologies, including hardware and software components, to manage and maintain seamless system operation. • Installation and Implementation Expertise: Experience in performing installation, implementation, and customization of AIX Operating Systems, ensuring proper configuration and functioning of all hardware and software components. • System Operation and Recovery Skills: Experience in managing day-to-day operation of AIX systems, troubleshooting issues, and performing recovery procedures to minimize downtime and maintain optimal system performance. • Performance Tuning Abilities: Experience in analyzing system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing adjustments to optimize AIX system performance, ensuring efficient use of resources and high availability. • Technical Troubleshooting: Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem-solving in AIX Operating Systems environments.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Advanced AIX Troubleshooting: Experience with in-depth technical troubleshooting and problem-solving in AIX Operating Systems environments, including analyzing complex system issues and developing effective solutions. • AIX System Optimization: Experience in optimizing AIX system performance, including analyzing system resource utilization, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing adjustments to improve efficiency and availability. • UNIX Scripting Knowledge: Exposure to UNIX scripting languages and tools, enabling automation of system administration tasks and customization of AIX system configurations.
