Customer Service - Security Branch
We’re looking for a customer‑focused and motivated Trade Counter / Customer Service Representative to join our branch team in Mount Waverley. This is a frontline, fast‑paced role ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and is eager to build their knowledge across security technologies and solutions.
The Trade Counter is a proven launch pad, offering hands‑on exposure across the full sales operation and a strong pathway into sales, operations, technical and leadership roles.
Why This Role Matters
As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you play a crucial role in shaping their experience with Wesco Anixter. You’ll support daily branch operations, help customers with product and order enquiries and collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
What You’ll Do
Serve customers at the trade counter, via phone, and email
Processing sales orders (via emailed purchase orders, counter and phone)
Respond to product, pricing, order, and account enquiries
Prepare accurate quotes aligned to customer needs
Coordinating with operations, purchasing, and accounts teams
Manage returns, backorders, and stock availability requests
Support showroom presentation and branch processes as needed
What You Bring
Experience in sales or customer service, ideally in a distribution environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong phone manner and customer relationship skills
Interest in IT or security technology (CCTV, access control, alarms)
Strong attention to detail and good time‑management skills
Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic environment
