Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a leading ICT Consultant at the Associate Director position to join our Consulting and Technology practice in Melbourne. The role will suit a capable leader of both people and projects.
As part of a dynamic ICT team across Australia and New Zealand, you will have the opportunity to lead projects in technology advisory and apply your technical nous to challenging designs within sophisticated buildings. Within AECOM’s Buildings and Place group, you will have the ability to collaborate with various consultants in project management and engineering services to deliver iconic projects and broaden your expertise market sectors.

The Role
As an Associate Director ICT Consultant at AECOM, you will have expert technical knowledge in developing detailed design solutions with proven experience in the delivery of a range of exciting Information Communications Technology projects.
In this role you can expect to:
Support the regional and national ICT consulting team on a diverse range of opportunities and projects
Manage project stakeholder engagement, technology road-mapping, briefing and sign off
Lead on business development opportunities and tenders
Lead and mentor junior members of the ICT team
Drive quality assurance and positive business culture
Inform business growth initiatives and strategic pursuits
Undertake design related activities across a range of systems, including systems architecture, interoperability and deployment planning;
ICT design including but not limited to cloud, identity and access management, server and storage, integrated networking, Wi-Fi, endpoint devices, and structured cabling systems
Security systems, including CCTV, Electronic Access Control, intruder alarm, perimeter intrusion detection, and Type 1A Security Alarm Systems
Clinical and non-clinical healthcare applications, including nurse call, point of care, patient entertainment, facility messaging, wireless handsets, mobile duress, RTLS, and patient systems
Oversight of audio-visual systems including IPTV, video and telepresence environments, collaboration systems, PAVA and digital signage
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and partner with internal and external clients and stakeholders;
Participate in site investigations and utilise strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
As a successful Associate Director, your attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively are essential to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver the right solution, on time, every time.
You will contribute to the growth and development of the team by identifying new business opportunities and responding to tender briefs, as well as ideally having some or all of the following;
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
Demonstrated experience in a lead technology capacity for large scale multi-disciplinary projects;
Hold, or eligible to obtain, RPEV qualifications, Security Licence and defence clearance
Specialist certifications; CPEng, NER, CISSP, CTS, etc. will be favourable;
A proven ability to autonomously coordinate and liaise effectively with clients and contractors, and experience of construction phase assistance and inspections;
Excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills;
A proven consultative approach, with an ability to work with technical Engineers and non-technical project stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Further education in an ICT related field of study;
Prior experience or understanding of Bluebeam, Revit, Visio and AutoCAD is favourable.
