Role Title: Customer Development Manager

Location: Melbourne, Vic

Hours: Full-time

Reporting to: Customer Development Director – Limited Assortment Retail

Mars is looking for an Account Manager— or as we like to say, a Customer Development Manager — to take the lead on our convenience accounts.

Sitting within our Pet Nutrition segment you will have full ownership for achieving profitable sales growth through creating and executing business plans for our distributor and convenience portfolio. This is a rewarding role where you will have the autonomy to manage a diverse customer portfolio. You will be a passionate individual who is keen to develop their career and hone their craft in the convenience market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the financial performance of the channel by delivering against sales, trade investment, and net sales value targets.

  • Manage a portfolio of convenience customers, overseeing all aspects of account management including pricing, promotions, category management, and new product distribution.

  • Contribute to the demand planning process throughaccuratepromotional forecasting.

  • Lead the range review process in collaboration with internal teams to grow Mars Petcare's market share, range, and space.

  • Establish andmaintainstrong partnerships with customers to drive mutual growth, including the development of Joint Business Plans.

  • Routinely evaluate performance, investment, and trading terms to deliver optimized solutions for both Mars and our customers.

  • Enhance our brand presence through the execution of "Perfect Store" principles, both in-store and digitally.

What You Will Bring

  • Approximately 2 years’experience in an account management role,FMCG desirable

  • A strong ability to build andmaintainrobust customer relationships

  • An understandingof key financial metrics and the commercial levers to influence them

  • Knowledge of core category principles and the ability to evaluate performance to create growth strategies

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively

  • A degree in commerce or a business-related discipline is preferred but not essential

  • Excellentinterpersonal skills and ability to develop long term, effective and influential business relationships with key decision makers which drive mutual growth
