The RoleThe AspenTech Digital Grid Management (DGM) business unit is looking for a Software Developer interested in creating and maintaining full-stack web application and automation tools to support our software operations. In this role, you will be a member of an Agile development team that designs and implements complex installation utilities critical to the successful deployment of DGM software to our partners in the energy industry. This role's contributions have highly visible impacts to the success of our business and the success of our software deployments. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a fundamental understanding of software development techniques while possessing passion to learn and grow your expertise to the next level. We want independent, self-driven developers with a passion for problem solving and the motivation to plan and execute moderate complexity development projects to successful completion. Your Impact Developand support an ecosystem offull-stack web applications to automatethe DGM software design, build, and deployment processes. Collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholdersto design and implementbest -in-class software. Design and implement reliable,performant, and fault tolerantcode based on requirements and/or user stories. Ensure reliable code by developing unit tests and test automationtools. Assistin code and design reviews. Train and mentor other team members in your area of expertise. Take part in agile team ceremonies such as scrum, sprint planning,and retrospective. Investigate, isolate, andidentifysolutions toreported software malfunctions. Create tools that provide insights to developers, engineers, and leadership across the organization. What You'll Need Bachelor'sdegree in computer science or related technical field. 1-3 years of experience with one or more of the following:Java, Python, and/orAngular, JavaScriptweb-development frameworks, RESTful web services, Relationaland NOSQLdatabases, Git and GitHub for source control, SQL and MongoDB. General knowledge of and ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications and documentation. Experience with user interface design and adjusting approach to user interaction and feedback. Understanding ofDesired State Deployment Patterns. Understanding ofalgorithms and complex data structures. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. Strong self-awareness. Able to know one's abilities, commit to due dates, and hold oneself accountable. Experience with monarch software. Travel is notrequired, but the opportunity may ariseifinterested. The salary range for this role is $90,200.00 - $112,800.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
