3 B's Forestry, Inc Forestry Worker (temporary) in MEDFORD, Oregon
Employer is looking to fill 90 Forestry Worker positions. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from 4/1/2026 to 12/17/2026.
Requirements: At least 18 due to government contracts. Three (3) months Commercial Brushsaw/Chainsaw experience. Applicants willing and qualified to perform work described and be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.
Employer Note: No minimum education requirement. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Pass fitness test. Begin/report to work: Medford, Jackson County, OR 97501 at $20.65/hr. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites. Tentative Itinerary - continue throughout various counties/areas) within the States of: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY. Show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide equals dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.The employer will comply with heat illness prevention requirements when the weather is above 80 degrees F.
Job Duties: Pruning, pre-commercial thinning, brushing, piling, pile covering, tree planting, scalping, paper mulch application and trail construction. Incidental driving possible and other related Forestry Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) thru rough terrain (non-trail).
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM. Offering 35 (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate, possible downtime and/or overtime.
Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.). Worker will be offered a total number of work hours equal to at least 3/4 of workdays of each 12-week period.
Wages: $17.68/Hr. up to $25.59/Hr. OT $26.52/Hr. up to $38.39/Hr. Wage may vary depending on experience and /or location worked. Single workweek standard for computing wages due. Wage paid every two weeks. All deductions required by law made by employer as well as any further tax withholding or other reasonable deduction(s) authorized by worker. Piece rate may apply worker will never make less than Prevailing Wage or Federal/State/Local minimum wage.
Additional Benefit Information: H&W benefits may apply. At Employer's sole discretion: possible raises and /or bonuses based on work performance or skill (not guaranteed); possible cash advances (if applicable/requested by worker, potential deduction from worker's paycheck).
Amount of transportation payment or reimbursement equal to most economical & reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at rate required at time of travel (currently $16.28/day to a max of $68/day w/receipts). Transportation & subsistence provided for cost from place from which worker has come to work for employer, whether in U.S. or abroad, to place of employment. Will reimburse worker in first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by g overnment, incurred by worker (not including passport).
Upon completion of work contract or where worker is d smissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence back home or to place worker originally departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
Work done w/employer provided tools, supplies & equipment w/o charge or deposit.
Optional, shared housing available at no cost to worker.
Any worker who voluntarily abandons employment is not entitled to payment for outbound transportation or full 3/4s Guarantee described.
