Robert Half Payroll Manager in Medford, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations in Medford, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in payroll systems, compliance regulations, and multi-state payroll processes. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can ensure accurate and timely payroll execution while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all payroll processes.

• Handle multi-state payroll processing, including compliance with varying state laws and regulations.

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute payroll tasks efficiently and maintain system integrity.

• Coordinate bi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring all deadlines are met without errors.

• Oversee payroll for union employees, including adherence to union agreements and regulations.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws, staying up-to-date with any changes.

• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to align payroll operations with organizational goals.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly to maintain employee satisfaction.

• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, offering insights and recommendations.

• Implement strategies for process improvement within payroll operations to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in payroll management.

• Extensive knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in handling full-cycle payroll processes.

• Experience managing multi-state payroll operations.

• Familiarity with union payroll processes and related regulations.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure payroll accuracy.
