Job Description
Aerotek is hiring immediately for a carpenter in Medford, MA! This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced frame to finish carpentry skills on a variety of construction projects for a general contractor. You will focus on high-quality interior and exterior carpentry work, ensuring that all installations meet precise specifications and contribute to a polished, professional final result. Responsibilities
Perform detailed finish carpentry work, including installation of trim, molding, doors, windows, and other interior and exterior finishes.
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to complete finish work accurately.
Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create precise and clean finishes.
Inspect completed work to verify alignment, fit, and finish meet quality standards and project requirements.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete framing and finish carpentry tasks.
Assist with framing tasks as needed to support overall project progress.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all site safety procedures.
Identify and communicate any material, design, or structural issues that may affect finish quality or timelines.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in finish carpentry, including trim, molding, and detailed woodwork.
Hands-on construction experience with a strong focus on carpentry.
Finish and frame carpentry experience with the ability to support both rough framing and finish work.
Ability to read and follow construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficiency with carpentry hand tools and power tools, with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team on active job sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on projects for general contractors or within commercial or residential construction environments.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fit, finish, and alignment in the field.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and other trades.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively across multiple tasks.
Willingness to adapt to changing project needs and support various carpentry-related tasks.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
