Transport participants to and from activity center and drive bus for outings and field trips. Ensure that children are transported safely and that no child is ever left unattended on the bus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive safely with participants' well-being uppermost;
Have a list of the children being transported in vehicle and the names and telephone numbers of parents or guardians;
Be familiar with the use and contents of first aid kit;
Be familiar with the operation of the fire extinguisher;
Ensure a bus aide is aboard on all transportation runs;
Ensure that children are received by a parent or another responsible person as designated by the parent;
Ensure there is an adult with children at all times, no child is to be left unattended at any time;
Ensure that children enter and leave the vehicle from the curbside unless the vehicle is in a protected parking area or driveway;
Ensure that children under the age of six (6) years are carried or helped into and out of vehicle;
Notify supervisor in advance if unable to drive;
