CNC Machinist – Day Shift
Location: Mead, CO
Pay: $24–27/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | 40 hours
Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Role
This CNC Machinist position supports a precision machining operation in Mead, CO. You’ll work a steady weekday schedule running CNC equipment, assisting with setups, handling light assembly work, and keeping production moving efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on the floor, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high quality standards.
What You’ll Do
Operate CNC machines and assist with basic setups and job preparation
Build tools, support fixturing, prep materials, and set work/tool offsets per instructions
Load and unload parts, materials, and equipment
Perform light assembly work as needed
Monitor part quality and take accurate measurements using precision instruments
Troubleshoot basic machining or production issues and escalate as needed
Coordinate with supervisors and programmers on job status
Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep work areas organized
Accurately document measurements and production data
What You Bring
2+ years of CNC machining or operator experience
Aerospace machining experience is a plus
General machine shop background preferred
Comfortable using CNC equipment, shop tools, and measuring instruments
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle physical work in a production environment
