Steampunk Senior Program Manager in McLean, Virginia
Overview
As a Senior Program Manager , you will be the leader, driving delivery in a government client consulting environment. You will be a client manager, coach, mentor, and an accountable program manager with a proven track record of leading deployments of solutions in a federal government contracting Salesforce environment.
Steampunk is seeking someone who is a technical, creative, hands-on expert with
delivering innovative technology solutions. Ideal candidates will thrive working with clients in aconsultative capacity and will have experience managing teams of technical personnel to buildSalesforce systems.
Contributions
Responsibilities will include:
leadership of teams for the complete lifecycle ofsolution development and deployment, from hands-on proposal technical support to prototyping client implementations and complete production deployment
This individual will ensure effective end-to-end solution design, to include integration with other technologies and solutions, driving high client satisfaction with the final solutions
This role involves managing complex projects and programs, building strong relationships and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with government regulations
The individual will serve as the primary liaison between clients, technical teams, and leadership, driving successful outcomes while adhering to contract terms, timelines, and budgets

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology and 14+ years of experience or equivalent education and/or experience
Proven background in federal government contracting and project management
PMP Certification
10+ Years in Program and Project Management
10+ Years experience with technology
Ability to get a Federal Clearance
Proficient in MicrosoftOffice (Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Word)
Experience leading Salesforce implementations in federal government contracting environments
Leadership. If you don't know the difference between that and management, this just isn't going to work out
Proven experience of leading the deployment of enterprise and custom software solutions in client environment
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process and/or technical problems
Experience defining and communicating program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
Experience developing detailed project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies
Experience generating executive-level reports and dashboards on program health, milestones, and financial performance
Experience using data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement and recommend optimizations
Proven experience growing and selling, while delivering
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity
Proven team player and team builder
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Knowledge of government procurement processes, contracts (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQ), and compliance standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS)
Experience with managing budgets, task orders, and subcontractor relationships
Proven experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Preferred
Masters Degree, preferably in Information Technology and 12+ years of experience or equivalent education and/or experience
Scrum Master certification
Federal Clearance
Experience with Human-Centered Design

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
