Deloitte Portfolio Operations Lead - Project Delivery Manager in McLean, Virginia

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
You will serve as a Portfolio Operations Lead supporting the AI & Engineering - Engineering as a Service portfolio across financial planning, reporting, and portfolio coordination.
Coordinate intake of new opportunities and initiatives with Business Relationship Managers and Service Line Leaders.
Support funding confirmation, charging setup, and financial business case development.
Translate cost estimates into monthly spend plans and support labor and financial reporting.
Track budget-to-actuals, invoices, and monthly forecast inputs including LE, ETC, and EAC.
Support accruals, carry-forward funding, portfolio-level status and health reporting.
Identify cost, schedule, and value realization risks and support ongoing process improvement.
Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and/or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes, including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.

Qualifications
Required
10+ years of experience in IT portfolio management and project financial management
PMP certification
Experience leading multiple projects and coordinating across client and internal stakeholder groups
Experience supporting pre-sales activities, solution design, and project planning
Experience with SAP Finance, project cost tracking, and labor reporting
Knowledge of financial planning, business cases, budget-to-actuals, and forecasting
Understanding of EVMS, Agile performance management, and phase-gating processes
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work across stakeholder groups
Strong communication, facilitation, and virtual collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
Experience with Planview, PPMC, or similar PPM tools
SAFe or related Agile certification
Experience leading small teams or supporting SDLC delivery
Experience with Atlassian tools and SAP BI reporting
Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
Excellent written and communication skills

Strong client and team management experience, including proactive value creation activities
Ability to connect portfolio financials, project execution, and business value realization into clear management reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize portfolio-level insights from multiple data sources
Ability to balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
