Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Director 1, Division Controller to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Division / sector headquarters in McLean, Virginia .
The selected applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Weapons Systems (WS) division, and will report to the WS Division Vice President of Business Management. Weapons Systems is a geographically dispersed organization with operating units across the country. The selected candidate will promote the professional development of the business management workforce, work in a dynamic organization, and foster a collaborative culture in a diverse business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversight of financial controls
Reviews quarterly EAC's for adequacy and compliance
Revenue recognition review and guidance
Indirect rate analysis and management
Evaluates and manages Non-Contractual Technical Activity spending
International accounting (controls, FX, offsets, etc)
Analyzes financial statements and cash flow
Conducts monthly forecasting and closing activities
Coordinates Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process
Prepares / presents executive financial briefings
Provides guidance to Business Unit (BU) and Organizational Unit (OU) on accounting policies
Provides business solutions and recommendations
Basic Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, OR Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
Strong leadership and communication skills with a minimum of 4 years of experience leading diverse teams
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Must be able to work on-site in McLean, Virginia
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial planning, financial accounting, government accounting, program finance, and international
Advanced skills in financial modeling, MS office Suite, SAP and Costpoint
Experience in presenting financial data to executive leadership
Demonstrated success in developing and leading functional and cross-functional teams
An active DoD Secret security clearance

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
