Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues on a fleet of ground support equipment. You will perform necessary repairs, replace faulty wiring systems, and install new items as required by customers. Welding projects may also be part of your duties.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on the fleet of equipment.
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on ground support equipment.
Replace faulty wiring systems, including lighting, radio, and lifts.
Complete welding projects as required.
Install new items on vehicles as required or purchased by customers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience with repair, hydraulics, preventive maintenance, and welding.
Ability to read and work with schematics.
Skilled in using hand tools for automotive and diesel repair.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
4-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing trucks or heavy equipment, field service experience is a plus.
Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
High school equivalent with technical schooling as a plus.
Comfortable with traveling approximately 50% of the year, with most weekends home.

Work Environment
Work from 7am to 3:30 pm in a clean, newly remodeled automotive shop located in McHenry, Illinois. Expect occasional overtime, but generally maintain a 40-hour work week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mchenry, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
