JOB REQUIREMENTS: Pulling & preparing of orders for projects. Coordinate & deliver product to jobsites. Ensure that paperwork is correct and accurate. Check in of inventory and put away when received. Assist warehouse staff with other duties as needed. Must be willing to work 40+ hours weekly at times. Drive trucks to deliver such items as food, medical supplies, or newspapers. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Use and maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, such as weighing or measuring devices. Complete order receipts. Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. Keep records of out-going orders. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise. Operate equipment such as forklifts. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on computer. Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise. Receive, unload, open, unpack, or issue sales floor merchandise. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles. Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location, based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 2-5 years of warehouse / inventory experience. Valid drivers license. Forklift experience. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Walking flights of stairs to deliver to jobsites.
