What you will do :

Patient Care & Assessment

  • Administers medications, treatments, and tests per provider orders; documents care accurately.

  • Recognizes and prioritizes symptoms based on patient condition.

  • Conducts ongoing physical and emotional assessments to address patient needs.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in unit-specific competencies and orientation goals.

Plan of Care

  • Gathers patient/family input to develop individualized education plans.

  • Creates and updates care plans using assessments and available resources.

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care.

  • Adjusts care plans based on evolving patient needs and clinical data.

Communication

  • Completes documentation and communicates effectively to meet care and regulatory standards.

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient, staff, and departmental information.

  • Ensures communication supports patient and family understanding.

  • Adheres to professional standards in all interactions.

Discharge Planning

  • Coordinates discharge plans with patients, families, and care teams.

  • Evaluates readiness for discharge to ensure safe transitions.

  • Facilitates timely discharge through interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Supports continuity of care post-discharge.

What you will need:

  • A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN

  • BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire

  • Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $31.62 - $50.79 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
